A Comparative Study Of The Family Ethics Revealed In The TV Plays On Both Sides Of The Taiwan Strait

Cross-strait culture is homogenous and rooted in the traditional Confucian culture.Therefore,cross-strait culture has traditional ethical origins in many aspects.Since ancient times,China has had the "state in the family" cultural gene.Family culture has even demonstrated this cultural deep-rooted in a nation to some extent.The family plays an important role in personal growth.Its ethical culture is an important foundation of social culture and forms the unique spiritual and cultural characteristics of each nation.Under this circumstance,exploring the family culture of a nation can reflect the history and cultural customs of a place.By explaining the similarities and differences between family cultures on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,we can distinguish features of the culture on the two sides of the Taiwan Strait from a small structure,and then explore the deep cultural structure reasons.As an interesting form,the TV series can reflect the life style and customs of a place in a large extent,and this form of reflection will deepen our understanding of traditional moral concepts.This essay interprets the representative family ethics television dramas on both sides of the Taiwan Strait as research models and analyze the family relationship from four parts:gender relations,Mother-in-law relationship(Father-in-law relationship),parent-child relationship,and relations between brothers and sisters.The similarities and differences in family relations,to explore the characteristics of cross-strait family culture,and to draw conclusions.This article uses textual research as the main research method and borrows Algirdas Julien Greimas's "action meta-theory" as the analysis method of this article.It explores the relationship between characters and cultural characters in the drama and the characters in the four kind of family relationships.The paradoxical relationship,in a concrete way,interprets the relationship between the characters in the play,attempts to explore the causes of certain life phenomena or the causes of the character's behavior,and then draws conclusions from this study.From the TV dramas,we can understand in certain solutions,cultural differences exists between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,but the fundamental source is still rooted in the traditional Confucian ethics culture.The innovation of this article lies in the use of comparatively representative television dramas across the Taiwan Strait as research models,focus on four major family relationships about family ethics,and analysis of the causes of the contradiction between characters,characters and reality,and draws conclusions.The analysis of cross-Strait culture through the use of more visualized methods—the analysis of TV dramas as a mean to explore deep culture.It is an important way of cultural communication and provides a foundation for cultural reunification.
