In recent years,with the development of the Internet,Social Networking Services have become popular and have played an important role in interpersonal communication.Online self-disclosure is an important function of Social Networking Services and is the main motivation for college students to use the Internet.As a way to increase mutual understanding,online selfdisclosure can promote people's mental health and increase their social adaptability.Online psychological need satisfaction refers to using Internet services to satisfy basic psychological needs such as sense of autonomy,competence,and belonging.Self-determination theory(SDT)helps us understand the relationship between psychological needs and network behavior from a new perspective.Previous studies have shown that the satisfaction of online psychological needs can provide positive feedback on network behavior,thereby increasing the degree of online self-disclosure.Online interpersonal trust refers to people's positive expectation of each other on the Internet and expects others to achieve their obligations and responsibilities.The level of online interpersonal trust also has an important impact on online self-disclosure.In the basic framework of self-determination theory,this study examines the online basic psychological needs satisfaction influences online self-disclosure and the mediation role of online interpersonal trust,so as to enrich the theoretical framework of self-determination theory on the Internet,and provide support for people's psychological and behavioral health.In this study,311 undergraduates were chosen as the subjects.The questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the characteristics of the basic psychological needs satisfaction,online interpersonal trust and online selfdisclosure of college students,and study their relationship.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)There is no significant difference in the online basic needs satisfaction of college students in terms of gender,subject and grade.(2)College students' online interpersonal trust has significant gender differences in the overall level,emotional trust dimension,and reliability dimension,and male scores are higher than women.There is no significant gender difference in the general trust dimension.There is no significant difference in online interpersonal trust between subjects and grades.(3)There are significant gender differences between the overall level and the various dimensions of college students' online self-disclosure.Males score significantly higher than women.There is no significant difference in the selfdisclosure of college students between subjects and grades.(4)There are significant positive correlations between online psychological satisfaction,online interpersonal trust,and online self-disclosure.Online basic psychological needs satisfaction and online interpersonal trust can both significantly positively predict online self-disclosure.(5)Online interpersonal trust plays a partial mediation role between online psychological need satisfaction and online self-disclosure.(6)From the perspective of each dimension of psychological need satisfaction,online autonomy need satisfaction can directly negatively predict online self-disclosure.Online competence need satisfaction can positive predict online self-disclosure.Online belongingness need satisfaction is the indirect prediction of online self-disclosure through the mediation role of online interpersonal trust.
