Research On The Relationship Between Online Self-disclosure And Loneliness

Self-disclosure refers to the process in which individuals share their relevant information with others.It has an important impact on their interpersonal communication and mental health.With the rapid development of network information age,self-disclosure on various network platforms has become a new way of interpersonal communication.Existing at home and abroad about the network self-disclosure scale is not yet recognized as research tools,The measurement of online self-disclosure abroad is more directly using the general self-disclosure scale or extracting several dimensions from it for measurement.It is only in front of the self-disclosure that the word "under the network context" is used,and the difference between the domestic and foreign network cultural background It is relatively large,and the existing domestic self-disclosure scales are all compiled according to the research purposes of the researchers.Therefore,based on extensive reading of relevant literature at home and abroad,this study developed an effective online self-disclosure scale suitable for the purpose of this study through open questionnaires and in-depth interviews,and discusses the modern network characteristics of self-disclosure on demographic variables.In the process of interpersonal communication,the degree of self-disclosure reflects the level of mutual trust between the individual and the communicating object,which affects the interaction between the two parties and the further development of interpersonal relationship.If individuals can have a good interpersonal relationship,their behaviors and attitudes towards others will be more positive,and their lonelinesswill be reduced to a certain extent.Previous studies have shown inconsistent results when exploring the relationship between online self-disclosure and loneliness,and the mechanism of action is still unclear.Therefore,this study explores the characteristics of individuals' online self-disclosure under the cultural background of China,and further explores the relationship between online self-disclosure and loneliness by taking online interpersonal trust and real interpersonal trust as mediating variables.Specific conclusions are as follows:(1)The self-designed online self-disclosure scale has five dimensions,including:attitude,emotion,study and work,personality and personal information.(2)After exploratory factor analysis,the total variance of the five factors in the network self-disclosure scale was 71.983%,the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the five dimensions was between 0.71-0.79,the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the total questionnaire was 0.79,and the reliability and validity reached the measurement standard.After empirical factor analysis,NFI,NNFI,CFI and IFI were all greater than 0.9.RMR is less than 0.1,RMSEA is 0.067,and the fitting condition of the five-dimensional structure model is good,so it can be used as a tool to test online self-disclosure.(3)there are gender differences in the emotional and emotional dimension of online self-disclosure.The degree of emotional and emotional disclosure of girls is significantly higher than that of boys,and there is no significant difference in other demographic variables of online self-disclosure.(4)The total score of online self-disclosure was negatively correlated with the total score of loneliness.Among them,the dimensions of learning,work,emotion,personality and attitude of online self-disclosure are negatively correlated with loneliness,while the dimensions of personal information are not significantly correlated with loneliness.(5)Online self-disclosure can positively predict online interpersonal trust;Online interpersonal trust can significantly and positively predict real interpersonal trust.When online self-disclosure,online interpersonal trust and real interpersonal trust jointly predicted loneliness,online interpersonal trust and real interpersonal trustcould significantly negatively predict loneliness.Online interpersonal trust and real interpersonal trust act as a chain intermediary between online self-disclosure and loneliness.
