The Deformation Method For Chinese Characters Design In Symbols

Traditional culture is an iconic symbol of a country and the nation.As a representative symbol of the traditional Chinese culture,the social status of Chinese characters is increasingly important.At present,Designs that involve Chinese characters appear everywhere due to its symbolic representation of China.In the past 5000 years,Chinese characters have always been leading the trend of the times with its unique cultural implications.This study combines Chinese characters with the modern symbol design to explore methods of changing the forms of Chinese characters in the symbol design.The form change of Chinese characters is related to the visual representation and extended application of Chinese characters in symbol design works as characters not only serve the function of reading,but also have the potential to display innovative ways of visual representation.This study,based on the understanding of the strokes,structures,and the shape of Chinese characters,focuses on the way to expand the application of the characters in symbols in order to highlight the visual information and convey ideas more efficiently and accurately.As such symbols are most effective in transforming huge information into succinct signs,this paper aims to study the methods of representing creative ideas when Chinese characters serve as a principal part of symbols for the purpose of transforming Chinese characters through creative design plans that are derived from analysis of the word-formation rules of Chinese characters.The paper then presents the final design plan that is both succinct and meaningful and expounds the application principles that govern form changes of characters in symbol design and the vital role they play in order to enrich the creative representation methods of Chinese characters in symbol design.
