With the change of health view and medical mode,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is gradually being recognized and accepted by international community.TCM interpretation has the features of “orality”,“immediacy”,and “liveness”.And TCM terminology expression is complex and professional.Hence, the interpretation of TCM is not simply equal to translation of TCM.There are no proper words and equal expression for some TCM concepts, and culture and logic difference between Chinese and western result in cross-cultural communication difficulties and lack of interpreters in TCM.All of these seriously influence and limit the communication and development of TCM.Therefore,it is of great importance to study the TCM interpretation. The report comes up with resolutions to the problems in this simulated interpretation. In this report,Yin and Yang theory of TCM is selected as interpreting materials aiming at expanding my knowledge and deepening my understanding of TCM with the hope of doing my bit in the study of TCM interpretation. In the future,I hope to have the chance to introduce more Traditional Chinese Medicine to western countries and more and more people will discover the benefits of TCM.TCM may serve and contribute to people's health across the world at last. There are four chapters in this report.Chapter one is the introduction including description of the simulated interpretation task, background of the interpretation task and characteristics of the task;Chapter two is task description including the preparation before interpretation and interpretation process;Chapter three is case analysis coming up with two problems in the process of simulated interpretation and three interpretation principles including Principle of nature,Principle of retroversion, and Principle of transliteration;Chapter four is a conclusion bringing up major findings and suggestions for the future studies.
