In recent years,outbound tourism has become a trend.More and more Chinese choose to travel abroad.However,in the process of traveling abroad,one of the major problems for Chinese tourists is the lack of intensive understanding to the destination.Therefore,high-quality tourism readings are essential for Chinese tourists to understand the tourist destination.In this translation project,the author chose Guide to National Parks of the United States in combination with her own interests and practicality as a translation material.This book introduces the national parks of the United States and provides tourists with detailed tourism strategies,which is a typical tourism text.This report is divided into five parts: first,the author briefly introduces the background,purpose and significance of the thesis.The second part is a detailed description of the translation task,including the introduction of the work and the choice of the target audience.The third part is a description of the translation process,including preparation for translation,translation plan,translation auxiliary tools,etc.The fourth part is case analysis.The author starts from the three aspects of vocabulary,syntax and text,and selects some typical examples to analyze the translation techniques and methods involved.The fifth part is the summary of the translation practice.This part summarizes the author's gains and shortcomings in the process of translation,as well as some insights gained by the author.Through the translation practice report,the author has learned a lot.Firstly,by translating this book,the author can explore and summarize some general methods of travel text translation.The author can learn the language style of English tourism text to understand the characteristics of English tourism text.The knowledge and experience that the author learned from the translation process will facilitate the translation practice in the future.Secondly,when we are translating tourism texts,we should pay attention to the inductive function of translation.There are many differences in the expression habits of the two languages,we should pay attention to the differences between them,and use the expression methods that conform to the target language standard to express the content of the source text,make the reader effect of the translation as close as possible to the reader effect of the source text.
