Higher vocational education is competence-based professional education.Talent training should highlight ability requirements.However,there are many problems such as the unclear positioning of majors,the duplication of curriculum settings and undergraduate courses,the lack of integration of curriculum content and job positions,and the unreasonable structure of the teaching staff.W Institute of Technology has a 14-year history of running a Japanese language program.Although it occupies the geographical advantages of the Japanese highlands,professional development still has common problems such as unclear characteristics and unsatisfactory employment rates.This article tries to investigate the employment situation of graduates of business Japanese majors in W Institute of Technology to find out why the development of Japanese majors in vocational colleges is lagging behind,and provide feasible strategies to the development of Japanese majors in vocational colleges.The research content mainly includes four aspects:Firstly,the status quo of the training of Japanese professionals in higher vocational education.Through the study of the training objectives,curriculum,curriculum system,teaching methods,teaching staff,and school-enterprise cooperation of the Japanese language specialty,the status quo of the implementation of the teaching of Japanese specialized courses has been discovered.Secondly,it is a survey of Japanese graduates in higher vocational colleges,which analyzes the employment trends of graduate students,work areas,job requirements and feedback on the learning of professional courses during school hours.And also this survey provides training for the reform of teaching Japanese professionals with data support.Thirdly,through investigation and analysis of graduates,the problems existing in the development of higher vocational Japanese majors have been identified from five aspects,which are professional characteristics,curriculum,teaching staff,school-enterprise cooperation,and students themselves.Fourthly,we try to put forward improvement strategies though five aspects,which are from the perspective of concepts,schools,professions,teachers,students and enterprises.
