| The responsibility of news headlines is to convey news information to the readers as short as possible.On this basis,they should be new,eye-catching and eye-sucking,which can be said to be the "eyes of the news".Whether a news headline can arouse readers' interest depends on whether the title is attractive.News headlines need to carry many contents,which have always been the focus of journalism and linguistics.This article which focuses on the news headlines of Wuhan Evening News,analyzes the usage of modern Chinese and the characteristics and shortcomings of news headlines.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It introduces the reasons for choosing this topic,the research status of newspaper headlines,the research object—Wuhan Evening News,the research corpus,the purpose,significance and research methods of this paper.The second chapter makes an analysis of the special words in the title of the Wuhan Evening News.It is mainly based on the classification and observation of the origin of the words.It is found that the general terms,dialect words,Internet words and so on appear more in the Wuhan Evening News.Among the general words,there are many words which can express the local characteristics of the evening news,which contains the people name,unit name,place name,ect.in Wuhan or Hubei.In the third chapter,the syntax of the title is analyzed,and the title is divided into single sentence headlines and complex sentence headlines.It mainly analyzes the internal structure characteristics of the single sentence headlines and the logical relationship in the complex sentences.Most of the single sentence headlines are subject predicate sentences,and some noun non subject predicate sentences and predicate predicate sentences,and there are no facsimile non subject predicate sentences.To be concise,there is usually no use of relational words in the title,or is only single relational words.The fourth analyze the use of rhetorical devices in the news caption of Wuhan Evening News.After analysis and statistics,it is found that the four frequently used ones are metaphor,analogy,metonymy and parody,and irony and exaggeration.The fifth chapter summarizes the problems in the headlines of the Wuhan Evening News,mainly the inappropriate use of abbreviations,the use of remote words,improper collocation,and semantic confusion.Then by combining with relevant linguistic knowledge,it puts forward some related suggestions for the existing problems.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,summarizing the research findings and shortcomings in the study. |
