Several studies have shown that the interpersonal relationship disturbance of adolescents plays an important role in their mental health.However,migrant children as a large and special group of adolescents,there are many problems in the process of dealing with interpersonal relations because of the migrant,such as lack of confidence,cultural habits,etc.Therefore,their interpersonal relationship disturbance should be paid more attention to.Secondly,self-esteem as an important emotional resource also plays a crucial role in the mental health of individuals.Studies have shown that children with high self-esteem are often associated with later life happiness and satisfaction,while low self-esteem is associated with anxiety,depression and social maladjustment.On the other hand,studies have shown that college students' self-esteem has a significant negative predictive effect on their interpersonal relationship disturbance.Therefore,this study attempts to explore the influence of self-esteem on the interpersonal relationship disturbance of migrant children,and helps migrant children to improve self-esteem and reduce their interpersonal relationship disturbance through group counseling.The first study conducted a questionnaire survey among 280 migrant children in a migrant children's middle school in Wuhan,and collected 249 valid questionnaires,focusing on the relationship between the self-esteem of migrant children and their interpersonal relationship disturbance.The results showed that the self-esteem of migrant children could significantly negatively predict their interpersonal relationship disturbance.In the second study,Twenty-four migrant children with low self-esteem in the first study were selected,using the method of experimental and control groups,12 people were randomly selected for the experimental group and 12 for the control group.Twelve of the experimental groups were given group counseling for 8 times with the theme of improving self-esteem.Comparing the difference between the experimental group and the control group,we found that after group counseling,the self-esteem of members of the experimental group was significantly improved,and the interpersonal relationship disturbance was significantly reduced;However,there was no significant difference between 12 control group members in self-esteem level and interpersonal relationship disturbance.
