The Study Of The AXX--type Adjectives In Modern Chinese Dialects

This thesis is about a study of the AXX—type Adjectives in modern Chinese dialects.The study is based on dictionary of modern Chinese dialects.The words and their meanings in this thesis are all from dictionary of modern Chinese dialects.If there are questions,the author has checked again and conformed it.his thesis contains five parts.T The first part is introduction.This part mainly focuses on the present research situation and the background of this thesis and the purpose of this thesis.The second part is the study of "A"s in the AXX—type Adjectives of modern Chinese dialects.At first,the author studied the scope of "A"s in modern Chinese dialects.Next,the author studied the high frequency "A"s.Besides,tlhe author studied the "A"s which describe colors.And the author found out that the combinatorial ability of"A"s in the dialects is stronger than it in the mandarin.The next part is a comparative analysis about "A"s in both dialects and mandarin.The third part is about the "XX" s in the AXX-type Adjectives of modern Chinese dialects.The author has analysed the different types of "XX".They are mostly adjectives and nouns.The author also studied the situation when "XX" are adverbs.And the author studied the high frequency "XX"s as well as the degree of deficiency of these high frequency "XX"s in different areas.Next the author described the expression functions of the "XX"s.They can distinguish the targets and scope,the level of the target and the appraise of the targets.In the fourth part,the author has divided the AXX-type Adjectives of modern Ch.inese dialects into two parts-"A"s and-"XX"s.According to which part contains the main idea of the whole word,the AXX—type Adjectives of modern Chinese dialects can be divided into four categories:"A"s are the cores,"XX"s are the cores,two parts are equal and "A"s and "XX"s are relatively complemented.After this,the author analysed how the AXX—type Adjectives of modern Chinese dialects were built from the angle of rhetoric.Mainly,"XX"s are used to describe "A"s.Sometimes the relationship between them are analogy even synesthesia.The last part is about the syntactic functions of AXX-type Adjectives in modern Chinese dialects.At first,the author described the conventional syntactic functions.It's common.And then a supernormal phenomenon was shown.Some AXX—type Adjectives of modern Chinese dialects can be used after the adverbs.The author described this phenomenon and try to find out the reason from the angle of language interaction and language's advancing.Also,the author has given some of his opinions about that.
