Since the 20 th century,several stone-drained beds that have flown overseas have triggered academic research on trampolines.With the progress of archaeological excavations,different forms of trampolines have entered people's field of vision and provided information for research on history,culture,and arts.Based on existing coffin platform,literatures and previous studies,this paper explores the origin of coffin platforms during the Northern Dynasties and the tomb culture.This paper is divided into three parts.First of all,the author carries out an inventory of the coffins discovered in recent years,mainly in Shanxi,Shaanxi,Henan,Hebei,Gansu,and domestic and foreign museums.Meanwhile,author carries out era judgments on individual coffins and perfects the information according to the existing research results.Secondly,according to the different morphological characteristics of coffin platforms,they are divided into two types: square coffins and furniture imitation coffins.At the same time,combining with the characteristics of coffins in different periods and tomb culture during the period before and after the Northern Dynasties,this paper makes a discussion of the origin of the North Dynasty coffins.Finally,aiming at the images of the coffins in the Northern Dynasties,author analyzes different themes and the artistic features of the coffin platforms.To a certain extent,the coffins reflects the Northern Dynasty's inheritance of the Han and Jin Dynasty tomb cultures.At the same time,along with the traderelations of the Silk Road,the coffins has incorporated the characteristics of the Western region into the image performance.The form of national integration also reflects the social and cultural forms and aesthetic interests of the Northern Dynasties.
