Natural state theory is the most controversial viewpoint of Rousseau's thought. Many scholars deny Rousseau's whole thought with the contradiction of natural state theory, but there are also some thinkers such as Cassirer who defend Rousseau's thought consistency. In order to understand a philosopher more accurately,it is important to systematically sort out the theory of natural state. In this way,we can grasp the insoluble and insoluble contradictions in Rousseau's thought.Hobbes and Locke put forward the state of nature by depicting this state to demonstrate the legitimacy of the social construction of political theory.Rousseau critically inherited their views and put forward his own unique opinions.During the Enlightenment period, the reason was highly publicized to belittle human feelings and to ignore the ethical issues of human nature. In sharp contrast to the polis, which was aimed at virtue in ancient society,Rousseau's advocacy of classical virtue and value was the cause of Rousseau's portrayal of the state of nature. He combined the way of life of the Spartans with the prehistoric state described by ancient philosophers to demonstrate the natural state, and by dividing the distinction between natural and social products,But Rousseau never said that he wanted humans to return to the primitive period, but only to use this state as a frame of reference to re-examine the present life. And Rousseau also saw the imperfections of the barbarians themselves. He believed that the evil in the state of society was caused by human beings, and Rousseau believed that humans could also redeem themselves through this perfect sexual capacity.Rebuild the second state of nature-the moral community. The community must consist of a well-established social system and a moral association of individuals, who ensure the greatest freedom of the individual, and family education that fosters moral citizens,Freedom and virtue combine to develop a free man of morality. We cannot deny that there are inevitable contradictions in Rousseau's thought, but we can not dispel his value in constructing a moral kingdom because of his contradiction. His construction of the future moral kingdom indicates the direction in which modern people can repair virtue.Show man how to become both a moral and a natural person.
