In this paper,I have taken Kansas State University Confucius Institute as an example,analyzing it.On the basis of the research experience from previous researchers,survey questionnaire is mainly used in writing.I have found out some shortcomings in cultural promotion and proposed some suggestions in the thesis.The thesis consists of six chapters:Chapter one,introduction with research background,the purpose and the value of research,research methods and literature review.Chapter two,the basis of theory.Lasswell's ‘5W' theory of transmission.Chapter three,the survey research in Kansas State University Confucius Institute,including the introduction of Kansas State University,the overall on Chinese education of Kansas State University.In this chapter,the teaching of Chinese language lessons,the development of cultural lessons in Kansas State University Confucius Institute will be especially mentioned.Chapter four,the survey analysis of Chinese culture activities in Kansas State University.As respondents who have participated in these culture activities,they are asked to fulfill the questionnaires,and then I have analyzed the shortcomings in the activities,combining Lasswell's ‘5W' theory of transmission.After that,I have analyzed the representativeness which is involved in the culture activities in Kansas State University Confucius Institute.Chapter five,some proposals and countermeasures to Chinese culture activities in Kansas State University Confucius Institute.According to the above survey research and data analysis,I have given my suggestions on communicators,content of communication,route of communication.Chapter six,conclusion.
