The Aesthetic Representation Of Beauty From Freedom From The Perspective Of Translation Aesthetics

The emergence and development of aesthetics has provided a good platform and solid basis for the research of literature and literary works.It also attracts the attention from both scholars and translators.This thesis is intended to make a theoretical and practical exploration of the representation of beauty in essay translation.Regarding the representation of the aesthetics in essays as an aesthetic activity,this thesis aims at the study of the process of aesthetic activity in an attempt to put forward some enlightening principles for the translators to use for reference when they translate essays.Based on the translation aesthetics theory by professor Liu Miqing,this thesis tries to make a study of aesthetic representation of the translation version of Beauty from Freedom translated by the thesis writer on translation aesthetics.The thesis writer also made a conclusion of difficulties and solutions in the process of translation.And it includes two aspects of formal system(involving sound,lexis and syntax)and non-formal system(involving image,culture and aesthetic conception).According to this,the author of the thesis worked out how the aesthetic object achieve harmony to represent the aesthetic effect.Through the analysis of some typical examples of the translation,this paper explores how to reproduce the aesthetic values of the original essay,and provides certain references for the practice and study of English essay translation.The thesis is divided into five parts.C hapter O ne makes a brief introduction about the background,objectives and significance of this thesis.C hapter Two outlines the translation process and difficulties and solutions.What's more,the translatability of essay language is also illustrated.C hapter Three is about the definition of translation aesthetics and essay translation.It discusses the necessity of translation aesthetics and significance of the integration of practices and theories.C hapter Four is the most important part of this thesis and it makes a detailed analysis of the translation of Beauty from Freedom.The last part is a conclusion about this translation project.Findings and possible future efforts are also pointed out.
