Mobile phones have become increasingly common in life,and more and more people rely on it for information processing and exchange.Text input has become one of the most frequent activities performed using mobile devices in our daily livings,because of its convenience and wide application.As the product becomes more and more complex,availability and satisfaction have a great impact on the selection of products,and the role of the user experience in our life is becoming more and more important.Text input is a rather complex process involving vision,touch,motion,memory,learning,and other cognitive functions.If a new input method is designed,it must be emphasized that ergonomic operation and cognitive compatibility must be emphasized.In the endless text input method,the characteristics of each input method vary.In many input methods,there are common Chinese,English,numeral,punctuation,expression and other characters.How to achieve higher efficiency and satisfaction in many character conversion is a problem we need to care about.At the same time,as we see in daily life,people will use any gestures in any scene to use mobile phones,such as offices,roads,sitting,walking and lying.Walk and play with the mobile phone phenomenon is very common in daily life.The use of smartphones in walking is becoming a public concern,because cognitive driven interference can lead to differences in user experience.From the perspective of user experience,this study explores the influence of experience and sentence complexity on user experience of mobile phone input method through two experiments.On the other hand,it explores the influence of posture and environment on user experience of mobile phone input method.Through the combination of objective assessment and subjective investigation,this study was conducted to assess the impact of user experience of thirty two participants(12 male,20 female;17-26 years old)with high or low experience used two common smartphones text input method inputting 40 simple and complex phrases.Through the combination of objective assessment and subjective investigation,this study was conducted to assess the impact of user experience of thirty two participants(12 male,20 female;18-26 years old)used two common smartphones text input method with walking and sitting postures indoors or outdoors.Input time,speed,error rates,galvanic skin response,heart rate,and perceived usability were analyzed.And finally draw the following findings:For complex phrases,low experience users required less time and achieved a faster words per minute rate when using Qwerty compared to T9;however,the opposite was found for high experience users.T9 resulted in a higher uncorrected error rate than Qwerty and Qwerty users had a lower emotional arousal and cognitive load than T9 users.Compared to T9,Qwerty decreased cognitive load when inputting complex phrases.Users with high experience reported higher perceived usability when using T9.In general,in high experience subjects,T9 had a higher performance than Qwerty,and Qwerty had a higher average error rate and uncorrected error rate than T9.Qwerty used outdoors had a higher performance and perceived usability,a lower surface muscle excitement,while T9 used indoors has a higher performance and perceived usability,and a lower surface muscle excitement.Qwerty used with walking reported a lower emotional arousal and task load,a higher perceived usability.T9 used with sitting had a lower emotional arousal and task load,a higher perceived usability.T9 used with sitting indoors reported a high performance,Qwerty used with walking outdoors had a lower emotional arousal.Low user experience using the keyboard better user experience,and experience in high users scratchable latex user experience is preferred;Use full keyboard input complex sentence and use scratchable latex input simple sentence user experience is better.For high user experience,will use the qwerty keyboard for outdoor environment and walk to bring a better user experience,and scratchable latex,by contrast,is more suitable for sitting and indoor environment.The results of the study for the future design method of intelligent mobile phone text input in terms of user experience,especially in the complexity of the input statement,posture,and environmental condition,provide good advice.
