The Research And Analysis Of Present Situation Of Chinese Teaching At Comenius University In Slovakia

The difficulty of mastering Chinese language will often leave students feeling confused,frustrated,and even hopeless.Because I had the same experience with my own studies,it inspired me to investigate the present situation of teaching Chinese at Comenius University in Slovakia.How could be the Chinese language education improved?What are its shortcomings?What are its strengths?How can be the journey of future Chinese language learners in Slovakia made easier?The present paper deals with the development of Chinese teaching at Comenius University in Slovakia and its support provided by questionnaire survey and interview methods.In structure,this thesis consists of five chapters:the first chapter introduces the background,purpose and significance of research as well as introduces research objects and research methods.The second chapter consists of the questionnaire and interview research method,the steps of implementation,and also contains of survey data analysis.Survey gains data about student classwork,teaching materials,curriculum,teaching methods and environment.Those are utilized to give a close insight into the advantages and disadvantages of a present situation of Chinese teaching at the department of East-Asian studies at Comenius University.The third chapter discuss the problems,which were found during the research.The outcome of the thesis is the fourth chapter consists of suggestions propose by the author to some of the problems raised in the previous part of the thesis.The suggestions indicate how Chinese teaching could be approached and modified to enhance the development of teaching quality.The fifth chapter is conclusion.The results of the research are aimed to contribute an important discourse on the present situation of Chinese teaching in Comenius University.The author hopes that contribution of this thesis could be used by employee at the department of East-Asian studies at Comenius University as well as other Chinese language teachers in Slovakia.
