With the improvement of China's economic development level,the people's living standard is increasing,the people's way of life is also changing,and the level of the country's opening to the outside world has also been further developed.With the improvement of the level of the country's opening up,the demand for spoken English is increasing.The state begins to attach importance to the cultivation of oral English talents.In 2013,the Ministry of Education promulgated the new curriculum standard for senior high school English curriculum,strictly demanding the students' comprehensive ability in English,and hoping that the students will be able to work spirit.Use English to communicate with people.However,under the influence of the college entrance examination system and other factors,high school students have been hindered in the development of oral English ability.For a long time,their interest in oral English has been gradually reduced and their ability is becoming lower and lower.This paper,under the new curriculum standard for high school English curriculum standards issued by the Ministry of education,aims at the training of high school students' oral English ability,and studies the strategies to improve the communicative competence of high school students' oral English.In order to explore the current situation and existing problems of oral English and oral communicative competence of high school students in China,this paper,based on the author's teaching practice and observation,uses questionnaire survey,teacher interview,classroom observation and other research methods,taking Nanbai middle school in Zunyi city of Guizhou Province as an example to carry out the practice of 549 high school students and 18 English teachers.A random classroom observation was conducted at the same time to verify the authenticity and validity of the data.A total of 549 questionnaires were issued by the students,excluding invalid questionnaires(including no filling or damage),507 questionnaires were valid,and the rate of recovery and efficiency of the questionnaire was 92.35%.The number of teachers expected to interview is 18,the actual interview data is 18,the data recovery and effective rate is 100%.The results of the survey are as follows:more than 90%of the students think that it is necessary to practice oral English well.To speak fluent English,they know that they know the importance of oral English,but only 30.58%of them like to communicate in English and can speak fluent English to less than 10%in everyday English,which indicates that the ability of high school students to speak English is generally deviant;Some English teachers use English for teaching in English classes.Almost no English teachers use full English Teaching in the whole class.More than 50%of English teachers lack a systematic understanding of foreign language teaching theory and teaching methods;almost all teachers say they have English communication with students in the course of last class.I don't speak English on this.According to the questions that the Institute feedback,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions and Countermeasures:improving the educational system,improving the teaching conditions,improving the teachers' development,improving the quality of teachers,deepening the reform of the English classroom teaching,improving the efficiency of the classroom teaching,strengthening the training of students' learning strategies and cultivating the ability of autonomous learning.
