With the rapid development and widespread application of information technology,it is more and more closely related to people's daily life.Fragmented learning,individualized learning and open education have become the features of education in the information era.Influenced by this,teachers start to make use of modern information technology to explore new teaching methods.Micro-lecture is the product of this background.At present,there are many teachers further applied micro-lectures in school education and various subjects and all kinds of domestic platforms and competition of micro-lecture have also gradually developed,providing teachers a stage to explore.In these large-scale competitions,there are many award-winning junior middle school English micro-lectures stand out among the many other works.In China's junior middle school English teaching,grammar has always been the focus.Solid grammatical knowledge is of great benefit to students' listening,speaking,reading and writing.Thus,the study takes the award-winning junior middle school English grammar micro-lectures of the Second Chinese Micro-lecture Competition as the research objects,observe and analyze these micro-lecture from the selection of topics,teaching method,teaching content,teaching activity and technical requirement,trying to answer the following questions:1.What is the present situation of these award-winning junior middle school English grammar micro-lectures?2.What are the merits of these award-winning junior middle school English grammar micro-lectures?3.What are the drawbacks of these award-winning junior middle school English grammar micro-lectures?And then put forward with suggestions improve the present situation of micro-lecture resources.The study first finds out that on the selection of topics,most teachers chose the difficult and important points and the grammatical knowledge that students could be easily got confused.On teaching method,most teachers adopt lecture method and practice method.On teaching content,these award-winning works' contents mainly focus on the concept and usage of difficult and important grammatical knowledge.On teaching activities,these award-winning works' teaching activities include the basic procedures and sequence of teaching.On technical requirement,the pictures and the sound of the award-winning works are clear,and basically meet the technical requirement.Then,with the present situation of these micro-lectures,the study finds out their merits and drawbacks.To begin with,the selection of the topics of these micro-lectures is pertinent and representative.Then,the teaching activities of these micro-lectures are complete and logical,and it highlights learning strategies.Besides,these micro-lectures all meet the technical requirement.Compared to the merits,their drawbacks are more obvious.First,teachers do have a clear understanding of what exactly micro-lecture is.Second,the teaching method is monotonous.Third,there are language mistakes in these micro-lectures.Fourth,teachers of these micro-lectures use too much Chinese.Fifth,the interfaces of these micro-lectures are not good enough,the way of making micro-lectures is monotonous and the editing is improper.According the present situation of these micro-lectures and the problems they have,the study puts forward suggestions for researchers and teachers respectively.For researchers,they should strengthen teacher's theoretical study,so they can really understand the concept and features of micro-lecture.Then,they should develop soft wares that easy to make micro-lectures in order to enrich the way of making micro-lectures.At last,they could build a platform of high quality micro-lectures for teachers to study.For teachers,they should first actively participate in teaching and research activates to improve their teaching and broaden their horizons.Then,teachers should strengthen self-professionalism,and improve their level of teaching.Finally,teachers should actively communicate with others and listen to the suggestions from others to improve the level of making micro-lectures.
