The Aesthetic Function Of Book Binding Applied In Children's Textbooks

Book design is not only dependent on the value of the content of the book,but also has the aesthetic value that independent of the content itself.As the most popular book for children to read,textbooks play an important role in spreading the knowledge of science and culture,as well as have a crucial role in establishing their outlook on life,values and world outlook.Judging from the reality of basic education in our country,textbooks play an important role in the realization of educational goals from the editing of subject contents to the design of visual forms.From 'design perspective,there were eight sets of primary school textbooks that have been used in China,they were basically written and designed for the realization of educational goals and teaching purposes.A set of textbooks needs to be validated by the education department and tested,revised,and then popularized.Primary school textbooks generally emphasize norms,standards and unification at the core of ideals.However,it technically ignored the effect of book-building design that is to express aesthetic,and lacked the design language with the current popular visual aesthetic to meet the requirements of children readers.Textbooks as a book with special functions reflect the change of the aesthetic rules and tendencies in each period.However,in the present,textbooks of primary and secondary school are still outdated in their design language,do not reflect the contemporary nature of popular culture and visual design simultaneously.In this article,I discuss how to conform to the framework of visual design system,in view of the common design in primary schools in Anhui Province,proposes some problems on textbook design,that can reflect the scientific and aesthetic characteristics of vision;and discuss how to integrate the new aesthetic feeling into the book design by redesigning the visual elements on the cover and bottom frames.The thesis concentrates on the visual strategy of improving the textbook binding with the innovative concept of visual design.
