Research On The Image Of The Elderly Group In The Chinese Documentary On The Theme Of The Elderly

At present,China has entered an aging society,which means the proportion of the elderly population in the total population of China has increased year by year.The aging population has become the basic national reality of our country.To deal with and solve the problem of aging is not only related to the quality of life of the elderly,but also to the harmonious,stable and long-term development of Chinese society.The analysis and exploration of the media image of the elderly group in the Chinese documentary on the theme of the elderly is beneficial to our understanding the law of the presentation of the image of the elderly group as well as the law of the spread of the elderly.Therefore,this paper selects 20 documentaries on the subject of the elderly since 1990 s as a sample to study the media image of the elderly group.This paper teases out the current situation of aging people and Chinese documentaries on the elderly and media environment of such documentaries in China by using the methods of literature,comparative research and case analysis,classifies the elderly groups presented in the documentary films on the subject of the elderly and makes summary,and analyzes the value of the media image of the elderly groups.In addition,this paper also discusses the factors that affect the media image of the aged group in documentaries and the advantages and disadvantages in the construction of the media image of the elderly,and then puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the media image of such films.This paper is divided into four parts.Part one is an introduction mainly on the research background and significance,research theory,research review,research ideas and research methods.Part two is to classify and analyze the media image of the aged group in the Chinese documentary about the elderly.Based on the content of part 2,part 3 analyzes the value of the media image of the elderly group in the Chinese documentary on the theme of the elderly,and summarizes the factors that influence the construction of the media image of the elderly group,that is,the aging policy and thesocial and cultural factors.In the last part,combined with the analysis of the previous parts,the author lists the advantages and disadvantages of the media image of the elderly group in the Chinese documentary on the subject of the elderly,and makes some thoughts and suggestions.Finally,in view of how to improve the media image of the aged group in China,the paper presents how to establish an active aging society in an all-round way from the three aspects of the government,the media and the documentary creators to make a comprehensive presentation of the elderly life from multiple angles and give suggestions on older people's rights to express themselves on media.
