In the recent years,with the growing popularity of the flipped classroom teaching model in the U.S.and in China,this new teaching model has become a new wave of education reform both at home and abroad.It subverted the traditional teaching model,different from the traditional class,while in the flipped classroom,the students study by themselves before class and they internalize knowledge in class.This new teaching model fits the needs of English new curriculum reform,and meets the requirements of the ten year development plan of educational informatization for innovative teaching model.In the current primary school English teaching,teachers attach too much importance to knowledge input and accumulation,which limits the initiative of students in their learning.At the same time,teachers are the main role,ignoring the dominant position of students.The application of flipped classroom teaching model to primary school English teaching will solve the problems in current teaching and provide new ideas for further development of primary school English teaching.Based on the experience of the domestic and foreign advanced flipped classroom teaching models and the empirical researches,the new structure of the flipped classroom teaching model in English teaching of primary school had been designed and constructed.According to the teaching process of the flipped classroom,the teacher guided the students to autonomously learn the teaching material such as learning guide and video,to complete knowledge transmitting process before class and complete the knowledge internalization process through autonomous and cooperative activities in class.This study adopted experimental method,which combined questionnaires and classroom observation to find out whether the flipped classroom could promote students' autonomous learning ability and English learning interest.At the same time,the study also used SPSS to analyze the scores the students of the experimental class got from the end of last term and this term compared to those of students of the control class.In this thesis,the author researched the existing English teaching models in primary school and found out the fitting points of the flipped classroom teaching model and the existing English teaching model,finally set up a suitable flipped classroom teaching model for primary school English teaching.While using the flipped classroom teaching model in the daily teaching,the author observed students' adaptation and performance,and the effect in students' self-learning ability,learning interest and English learning achievement.At last,the most effective flipped classroom teaching model in primary school English teaching was set up.The results showed that the students were very adaptable to the new teaching model.It had positive and effective influence in their English learning.It also showed that flipped classroom teaching model promoted the students' autonomous learning ability and English learning interest in primary school,it also definitely improved the English learning grades.
