Artistic Language Features Of Night View Subjected Watercolor Painting

From ancient times,human expected to a pair of eyes which can see through the darkness so as to take a glance of its mystery.In plastic arts,people use various painting techniques to explore and express the beauty of dark night.Although night view subject is comparatively less than other watercolor painting subject,it has its unique artistic language features.Compared with the clearness and transparence of daylight,the deep and focus of night can motivate more sense of visual perception and psychological imagination to bring spiritual shock and emotional resonance.The thesis is divided into four parts.Adopting image analysis methods,Author takes night view subjected watercolor painting in domestic and abroad as research subject to analyze the interaction relationship between artistic features of night view watercolor painting and aesthetic psychology of its observer.In chapter one,author provides a series of excellent night view subjected artistic works at all times and in all lands to point out that night as a special time plays an important role in artistic expression.The second part systematically demonstrates the color vision,illumination,emotional symbol of night view subjected watercolor painting with three paragraphs,focusing on the discussion of the artistry of night view subjected watercolor painting.Part one is to analyze the uniqueness of colors in night view subjected watercolor painting in three perspectives.Part two aims at analyzing the important function of light,exploring the different effect of light that caused by the different illumination in night view.Part three introduces emotional values given by the artists during the creation of night view subjected works.In chapter three,combined with personal practice and creation experience,author is trying to bring more systematic focus on night view subject.At last,author tries to point out the reason why the development of night view subjected watercolor painting is slow and affirms its potential.Through summarizing the artistic language features of night view subjected watercolor painting,author hopes this thesis could make some complementary to the theoretic research of night view subjected watercolor painting.
