Shatuo is a branch of the Chuyue Ministry of the Western Turkic Division and lives in the northwestern region of China, with no more than 10,000 people. At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty,Shatuo' s forces were weak, swaying among the major nations. In the middle and late Tang Dynasty,Shatuo moved to the Central Plains, passed Ganzhou and Yanzhou to Daibei, and finally entered the east of the river to establish its own political and military group. In the course of a hundred years of development,Shatuo pacified the Wu Yuanji Uprising, the Pang Xun Uprising, the Huang chao Uprising and other rebellions, consolidating the Emperor Xizong and the Emperor Zhaozong, resisting foreign aggression, and played an important role in the history of the late Tang and the Five Dynasties.Summing up the positive influence of Shatuo on the regime of the Tang Dynasty is divided into the following three parts. The positive impact on border defense. After Shatuo ' s inward relocation,he attacked Tubo ?Huihu and defended the regime in the northern frontier, relying on his strong military strength to create favorable external conditions for the development of the Tang Dynasty.During this period, although Shatuo had repeated,it was indeed a helpless move of the weak tribe in the development process. The positive impact on the stability of the political situation. After Shatuo attached the Tang Dynasty,he helped the Tang to calm the Wu Chengzong uprising of Hebei Province,Wu Yuanji uprising of Huaixi, and the rebellion of Liulu of Zelu, consolidate Pangxun rebellion and Huangchao rebellionof the town.He became the main force of the rebellion and peaceful rebellion of the peasant uprisings around the Tang dynasty. The consolidation of the regime has made tremendous contributions. The positive impact on delaying the decline of the Tang dynasty. After the Huangchao Uprising, the Tang Dynasty declined, and the Shatuo people who were strong enough to dominate was not only taken from the Tang Dynasty, but became Tang 's loyal defenders, saving Tang court many times in distress.Although Shatuo did not really save the Tang Dynasty,it maximally delayed the demise of the Tang Dynasty and played an important role in safeguarding the political situation of the Tang Dynasty.During the period of the Five Dynasties,Shatuo regarded himself as a descendant of the Tang Dynasty, continuing the prestige of the Tang Dynasty.Looking back at the history of Shatuo and Tang,Shatuo was loyal to Tang, and he resisted foreign invasion and stabilized the frontier;calmed down the rebellion and consolidated political power;he defended the Tang court and continued the prestige of the Tang Dynasty.
