The Research On Xiaoling Pottery Kiln Relics In Xinjiang

Xinjiang Xiaoling site is a very important site,it is about 2 million square meters,which mainly belongs to the relics Miaodigou 2nd period culture and Taosi culture.As everyone knows,in the Miaodigou 2nd period culture and the Longshan period culture,the site area of over 2 million square meters is only Taosi site which is 2.8 million square meters.In 2004,the Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology have made archaeological excavations of the site for about more than 1100 square meters,this area compared to the site as a whole,is not worth mentioning.But even so,there are still important discoveries.This paper first gives a brief introduction to the Xiaoling site,according to published reports stratigraphic relations and typical artifacts of evolution of the relationship of the ruins Miaodigou 2nd period culture remains can be divided into two stages,the Longshan period remains also divided into two stages,and comparing with Shanxi other regions remains.If the typical objects with similar features,there are same,then form the relationship between Xiaoling site and the other sites in Jinnan area.After studying,we believe that the I section of Xiaoling Miaodigou 2nd period culture is basically the same as that ?section of the Gucheng Dongguan,and the ? section is similar to the second and third sections of Dongguan.After establishing a connection with Dongguan,we can build this "bridge" and establish the location of Xiaoling in the two phase of the Miaodigou 2nd period culture.Similarly,after comparison,we believe that the first and second sections of the Xiaoling Taosi culture should be equivalent to the early and middle stages of the site.It is worth mentioning that excavated area is small,the unearthed complete artifacts are also less,so as to finding the characteristics of the typical artifacts have certain limitations.The 43 pottery kiln is very important.Most of them are Miaodigou 2nd period culture,individual is the Taosi culture.So dense pottery kilns have never been found before.According to the stratum and the unearthed artifacts of pottery kiln can be divided into four categories and three stages,and comparing with the other excavations of Jinnan pottery kiln to constructing the sequence of pottery kiln of Jinnan.In a word,through the study of the Xiaoling pottery site,we have deepened our understanding of the remains of the Miaodigou 2nd in the south of Jinnan,as well as the further understanding of the settlement group in the Linfen basin,which is of great significance to further improve Miaodigou 2nd and Longshan cultural pedigree of the Jinnan aera.
