Discussion On The Form Language Of Flower And Bird Painting

Chinese flower-and-bird painting has a long history,and it is a manifestation of Chinese national culture among Chinese paintings.In the Tang Dynasty,flower-and-bird painting existed as an independent painting branch,and had been greatly developed in the Five Dynasties,among which“Huang Quan's paintings which showed wealth and Xu Xi's works which had different styles ” were especially famous.Song Dynasty is the most prosperous period of flower-and-bird painting in China,and it is also the peak in the history of the development of flower-and-bird painting.Yun Nantian,a famous painter in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,was the first to create the unique painting style of the flower-and-bird painting without pen bone,and was the originator of the Changzhou painting school.Many famous masters of painting have also appeared in modern painting circles,such as Qi Baishi,Jiang Caiping,Lin Ruoxi,Jiang Hongwei and so on,among which Qi Baishi put forward the theory that“the beauty of paintings lies in the alike and unlike”.Starting from the formal language of the meticulous flower-and-bird painting,this paper analyzes the composition,modeling,color and artistic conception of the meticulous flower-and-bird paintings in the Song Dynasty and in modern times.It also focuses on the influence of the formal language of the meticulous flower-and-bird paintings in the Song Dynasty on that of the modern style,and discusses the inspiration and influence of the study of the meticulous flower-and-bird paintings in the Song Dynasty to my graduation design,as well as the specific problems encountered in the creation.Through the copy and study of the meticulous flower-and-bird paintings in the Song Dynasty,and through the study of the formal language of the traditional and modern paintings,the creation of one's painting can be examined,the excellent experience can be summed up and learned,and the tradition can be understood more deeply.Moreover,it is also necessary tocombine with modern painting experience.Only by combining tradition with modernity can meticulous flower-and-bird paintings with unique features be created.
