Deinsectization And Fertility:study On Crop Pest Control In Shanxi Province In The Early Period Of The Founding Of The People's Republic Of China

The development and evolution of agriculture in the era of collectivization has always been noted by famous scholars.And the fundamental direction which guides the development of Agriculture,“forming organization and improving technology”,catches the wider range of attention in the academic world.On the basis of previous studies,this paper takes the pest control technology as the cut-in point and the province of Shanxi as the scope of investigation.Using history,the history of technology and social history and other multidisciplinary knowledge and methods,we are committed to discuss,in the historical process of technological improvement during the collectivization period,the actual influence of state on agriculture,rural areas,farmers and the generation of the interactive relationship between the countries,cadres and farmers.Firstly,by the ideological mobilization,the scientific concept of "pest" of the people of Shanxi was generally established,which lays the ideological foundation for the smooth development of the pest control.Secondly,the institutionalized construction of plant protection system provided a solid organizational basis for the pest control in Shanxi province.Furthermore,the pest control team consisted by technical cadres,farmer technicians,women and children,etc.provided sufficient personnel supply for mass pest control movement in the early days of PRC.Lastly,the introduction of chemical pesticides provided effective weapons for farmers to eliminate pests and pest control methods from traditional agricultural control to modern chemical control from then.In time series,pest control in the early days of the PRC basically realized its modernization transformation.However,under the strong infiltration of state power,agricultural technology entered into and rooted in the countryside.Its significance has long gone beyond the materialrepresentation of the technology itself,and is associated with the local cultural concepts,farming traditions,human relations,etc.The state's support and guidance to technical cadres,technical cadres' understanding and implementation of national policies,farmers' traditional farming habits and realistic interests,and the level of pest control and practical ability of technical cadres will all affect farmers' choice of pest control technology.Pest control in the early days of PRC experienced a historical transition from traditional to modern in time series.However,in the specific practice process,the technical discourse system of pest control is based on the whole historical process of mass pest control practice,the institutional construction of state power,the introduction of modern chemical control technology and the mutual cooperation movement which has been brewing for a long time.
