| With the rapid development of economy globalization,the market need more high quality talents.The 21st century talents mean to not only the high-degree and high-intelligence youth,more importantly,but also the high ideological quality of the youth.High school education is a must to college or university students and high school students are the preservation of the future backbone of the country.Therefore,the Party and our country constantly pay attention to and emphasize ideological and political education of the youth.Opinions on further strength and improve the ideological and political education of the undergraduates,put forward by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council,requires to comprehensively carry out ideological and political education to the whole students.Entering into a new era and new period.The 18th National People’s Congress of CPC thereupon proposed that the fundamental task of education is fostering moral quality and cultivating people to be socialism builders and successors by comprehensively developing morality,intelligence and physics,which have profound practical meaning.the third plenary session of the18th central committee of the CPC clearly proposed the requirement of ideological and political education for school—we should use socialist core value system and excellent culture of China to educate the students and cultivate them into outstanding citizens who are loving study,loving country and loving work.The teacher,the practitioner of our county’s teaching reform,should play the role as active guidance.In high-school courses,English is an important humanity.So,in the process of teaching,appropriately integrating ideological and political education will be good for giving full play of English as main land and cultivating students’values.Ideological and political education has been a constantly concerned educational issue by the leaders of our country.Moreover,in the new period,new requirements for education and teaching put forward by the state give a stronger theoretical support for the thesis;on the other hand,the aim of high-school English and the cultivation of ideological and political education are just the same,which is improving comprehensive quality of students.What’s more,the two have the uniformity of teaching process—both are developing a series of education and teaching about knowledge and ideology and politics on the discipline of adequately considering students’physical and mental development.So,it is feasible to integrate ideological and political education into high school English teaching.Based on this,the author investigated students in a few high schools in Hengyang city.Through the survey,the main problems of ideological and political education integrated in high school English curriculum are as follows:first,paying attention to the textbook knowledge and ignoring the ideological and moral education;second,paying attention to the teachers’precept and ignoring teachers’example;third,paying attention to ideological indoctrination and lacking western values clarification.The cause of these problems are roughly three aspects:first,high school English teaching is utilitarian because of the mechanism of high school education.Second,schools lack consciousness of school ideological and political education in response to the university entrance exam.Third,because of the teachers’own quality constraints,high school English teachers’teaching mode is simplified.For the problem of integrating ideological and political education into high school English teaching,the thesis will mainly discuss from the following three aspects.First of all,the integration of ideological and political education in high school English teaching needs three principles,namely,following the teaching material,teaching and education,and positive guidance.Second,pay attention to strategies.In this thesis,by strategically analyzing the three aspects of teachers,curriculum,teaching environment,the author points out that the strategies of integration of ideological and political education in high school English teaching are:strengthening high school English teachers’political quality,the reasonable design of English courses,optimizing the environment of ideological and political education.Finally,to explore effective ways in the integration of ideological and political education in high school English teaching,that is to say,paying attention to the comparison between Chinese and western cultures,strengthen consciousness of the Chinese nation by language teaching,strengthening the positive value guidance by literature teaching.In short,it has significant meaning for cultivating comprehensively developed talents by integrating the ideological and political education in high school English teaching through effective ways. |
