The Eight Banners group is a privileged class with obvious military and national characteristics. It is an important part of the political structure of the Qing Dynasty and plays a decisive role in the Qing Dynasty's monarchy. The Eight Banners are divided into the Manchu, the Mongolia, and the Chinese, but the three have differences in their social status.Among them, the Chinese bannermen as a middle-class group of bannermen and Han people is relatively vague on the issue of identifying their social status.Determining the social status of a group is basically determined by its own rights, wealth, and its own social environment. Therefore, this article analyzes the social status of Chinese bannermen from the perspectives of “right”,“wealth” and “identity” in different periods of Qing Dynasty. From the perspective of “rights”,it is mainly divided into two aspects. One is the right granted by the law to Chinese bannermen.Judging from the results of the criminal and civil cases,it was found that the judgment of Chinese bannermen was not a simple manifestation of Manchu and Han nationality.Instead,it also considered a number of specific issues, including border security, agricultural development, banner people in different regions,Identity and family background and so on.The second is the ownership of rights brought by career advancement. From the perspective of the imperial examinations and school education of the Eight Banners,Chinese bannermen and Manchuria and Mongolia received the same education at the same time. However,at the same time, the Qing government's strict inspection of the banners status and the reduction of the Chinese bannermen shortage caused the Chinese bannermen officials became marginal in the ruling structure of the Qing dynasty. From the perspective of “identity”,it mainly analyzes the identity changes brought by changes in the flag points. The most obvious change in the status of the identity were Chinese bannermen who were carried into Manchuria and the BaoYi who were carried into the eight banners. The former mostly belonged to Manchu or was at the core of the Qing Dynasty's ruling system. Therefore, the banners were more sought to be recognized in terms of ethnicity.Although the latter enjoyed excellent treatment in many aspects,it was always an imperial family accessory.Only when it was incorporated into eight banners and became a member of the Eight Banners group, the privileged class it would be.From the perspective of “wealth”,it mainly analyzes the Han's grace and support policies and how to solve their livelihood problems. It is not appropriate to excessively interpret the influence of the "decrease of the flag for the people".Before the enactment of this policy,Chinese bannermen grace and support were full of differences with Manchu and Mongolia. The Qing government put forward various proposals for livelihood issues. After the “flags for the people” decree, the Qing government still adopted various schemes to protect the standard of living of Chinese bannermen. The "Decoration for the People" decree itself is also one of many measures to solve the Han Army's livelihood. To a certain extent,it has also weakened the control of the Chinese bannermen, and it is widely used in the country.Chinese bannermen have always been an important part of the Eight Banners.Their ethnic attributes and the Eight Banners identity are not inconsistent. It is considered that the Han people in the ethnic attributes do not imply that the privileged class attributes of the Eight Banners identity are weakened or deprived. The core of the rule of the Qing Dynasty was the Eight Banners, and the Eight Banners not only had the characteristics of Manchu, but also contained a heavy Han culture. As a member of the Eight Banners,it is necessary not only to skillfully understand the language of Qing language, but also to understand Chinese characters. Therefore, the Qing government must maintain the "eight-banners characteristics" and the "eight-banners system." The Han army is placed in it.Its identity is more of a " bannermen identity" than a pure "Manchuria" or "Han."...
