Pyrography is a kind of folk arts and crafts,which is made of metal objects as pen.After heating,producer irons out the brand to paint a picture on the object.The whole procedure uses carbonization principle without any color.In pyrography,iron is taken as the pen,fire as ink.In China,Pyrography art has a long history.Different areas have different ecological environment,folkways,beliefs and lifestyles.As a result,there are many kinds of pyrography in various types,different styles,and rich content.Cow leather pyrography in Inner Mongolia has its own unique pyrography skills and distinctive artistic style becoming an independent school in pyrography art.Production process of cow leather pyrography embodies the great skill and persistent pursuit of art of pyrography artist.This paper takes Inner Mongolia cow leather pyrography as the research object,collecting the first-hand photos andinformation on the basis of field investigation,and using the method of combining theory with practice to demonstrate.The author attempts to study the formation of pyrography art,mining which contains the artistic features and aesthetic implication.This article is divided into three parts.The first part is introduction,which explains the basis of the topic,range of study,the purpose and significance of of research,the research methods,the innovation point and literature summary.The second part is the main part of this article.Based on the literature search and review,combined with field investigation,the author analyzes artistic characteristics of Inner Mongolia cow leather pyrography and its aesthetic features and cultural connotation.The second part is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the history of Chinese pyrography and types as well as the present situation.Then the author makes a brief introduction to development and present situation of Inner Mongolian cow leather pyrography.The second chapter summarizes the materials and tools needed for Inner Mongolian cow leather pyrography during production.This chapter also includes the production process and technique of cow leather pyrography.The third chapter mainly discusses artist featuresand value of Inner Mongolia cow leather pyrography.Firstly,the author analyzing the artist features of Inner Mongolian cow leather pyrography from four aspects including color of work,use of line,composition of a picture and material quailty.Then this chapter sums up the three aesthetic features of Inner Mongolian cow leather pyrography,and on this basis,summarizes its value.The fourth chapter reflects Inner Mongolian cow leather pyrography in nowadays.The author analyzes problems of cow leather pyrography during its development and puts forward several suggestions from its present situation,predicament and its development in the future.The third part is the conclusion,which is mainly to summarize the whole text of this paper.On the other hand,this part is analysis and summary of study on inner mongolian cow leather pyrography art.
