"Image" as a painting material is one of the most important material acquisition methods in painting.It has been used by many artists.This paper focuses on the art of using "imagery" material in the art of painting.Creative activities,and the significance of using "images" in painting.The article also studied and analyzed17th-century Dutch painter Vermeer’s paintings that produced “images” with a sense of realism.In the middle and late 19 th century,the French impressionist painter Degas was created using the convenience of black-and-white “images” at the beginning of photography.And three artists in contemporary art—Luc Tuymans,Gerhard Richter,Gerard Fromange,based on various modern “images” The way of painting creation and diversified presentation.Through the analysis of some typical works,this paper expounds the creative methods and significance of these representative artists who use "image" materials.In the second chapter of this article,the author focuses on the author’s thinking on contemporary "images" and his experimental exploration in painting.Using "image" materials,the author has created several works,namely,"The Quiet and Light," "Redwood Lake," "Amsterdam’s Street," and "The Girl in Front of an Old House," and "The phubbing." The article describes in detail the author’s use of "image" material means to open the cause of creation,through,internal thinking and performance,as well as some of the "image" of the creation of the older artists on the author’s influence.Finally,it explores and analyzes the new meaning brought by the creation of "image" material to the development of oil painting.
