A Study On Maurice Blanchot''s Theory Of Literary Community

Maurice Blanchot's theory of community is the literary community in essence.Started from the deconstruction of communism,it invalidates the identical and immanent mode of communism while settling down the insufficient and incomplete mode of community.As an existence experience of incompleteness,literature,implies the possibility of a community exactly.Besides,the multiple and unshareable language of community is a literary language as well which leads to a fact that words of community belong to literature.Thus,the contemporary community shows up as the literary community in apperance.The incompleteness of existence indicates the unworking nature of literary community.The unworking,orients experiencing the finitude of the work instead of merely being limited to some negative meaning.The production of the unworking is writing by which the literary community inscribes itself.However,the writing goes in but then goes through the work,suggesting it a process of going out of itself.And in this process,the death is experienced as well as targeted.During the two sorts of death,the individualistic one which takes the suicide as an extreme misses the real death by manifesting lively subjectivity,while the other,the real death is out of a subject with transcendence.Therefore,how to die in a manner true to death,that is,how to leap over to the community,remains to be a paradox.Blanchot advocates going into this paradox instead of realizing the community directly which means a generation of the space of the literary community.It's the third space,defined as insufficiency of excess,reflects Blanchot's view from two-spot to neutrality.For the isolation between subject and the death in the third space,going into the space isn't equal to realizing the literary community though a new space is generated here.The Acéphale community provides an example of going beyond oneself but failing in ending.From the view of the theory,the reconstruction of the literary community means the deconstruction of itself.The literary community can only exist when it remains a tendency.That is,itself is impossible.And this tendency,always on the way and unrealizable,provides the literary community with a vision of someone else.
