Study On The Social Features Of The Mongolian Region From Modern Chinese And Foreign Travel Experiences

Adventure,travel and investigation are one of the important ways to understand human society.Modern China was in a situation of internal and external troubles.During this period,Individuals with different identities at home and abroad flowed into the Mongolian region with their own goals.They recorded the information and formed various travel records,investigation reports and so on.These Chinese and foreign travelers are “outsiders” to traditional Mongolian society,the perspective of outsiders on Mongolian social life is different from that of Mongolian people and constitutes another kind of reference.These travel records and investigations made by Chinese and foreign travelers reflected directly the social features of Mongolia at that time,and provided us with an in-depth understanding of the specific reference value of the social life in Mongolia at that time.This paper uses the period of 1840-1949 as a timeline to do a macroscopic overall scan of the social features of the Mongolian region under Chinese and foreign travelers',attempting to explore the features of the Mongolian region during this period.It will analyze the different perspectives and value orientations by comparing the differences between Chinese and foreign travelers in recording Mongolian society.This article consists of the introduction,the text,the conclusion,and the appendix.The introductory part has written the reasons for theselection of the topic and related research comments.In the first part of the text,a rough summary of the identities and purposes of travelers who traveled in the Mongolian region from 1840 to 1949 what author has known gives everyone an overall impression.In the second part,explore the causes of the rise and fall of the cities from the Mongolian cities seen by travelers,selecting Kulun and Guihua to interpret.In the third part,try to sort out station roads,national customs,monuments and temples,and grassland reclamation from the traveler's record to explore the changes of Mongolian society.In the fourth part,analyze and compare the differences between Chinese and foreign travelers according to the above three contents.In The Conclusion,summarize the article and consider the deficiencies in the completion of the dissertation.The appendix is a chronicle of the expedition and exploration in northern China of modern times to supplement the traveler's content in the Mongolian region from1840 to 1949.
