A Study Of Poetic Thoughts In Shi Shi Tan Shi

Zhao Shizhe was the organizer of the Shanzuo Dashe which was the largest branch of FUshe in the North in the late Ming Dynasty.Researchers of the poetics and writers living in Ming Dynasty have always been concentrated on the people of some major schools.Little attention has been simply payed to the research of writers who are not attached to any school of thought such as Zhao Shizhe.Considering the development of the Poetics s in Ming Dynasty,on the one hand,Zhao Shizhe inherits the previous poetics theory to some extent.On the other hand,he attaches more importance to the revision and supplement of the mainstream poetics theory of Ming Dynasty,which has unique speculative theoretical value.It made a certain influence on poetics at that time and in the early Qing Dynasty.In this paper,the author carry out a research on Zhao Shizhe's poetics theory by means of understanding his world,textual criticism and a view of combination of macro and micro.The paper is composed of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.Details can be described as follows:In the introduction part,the author mainly introduces the origin of the thesis,the review of the related fields of Shishi Tanshi and the research methods.The main body of the article consists of the following four chapters:Chapter one superficially discusses Zhao Shizhe's life,family and his works,and then talk about Shishi Tanshi's volume number,Academic evaluation and how it was finished.In the second chapter,the author discusses the poetic thought of Zhao Shizhe by combining the methods of text criticism and macro and micro perspectives.In Ming Dynasty,Neo-Confucianism was regarded as official philosophy,In poetics,it is characterized by classicism and formalism.The development of poetics in Ming Dynasty can be divided into five periods,The poetics thoughts of Li Dongyang,Qizi,Yang Shen,Li Zhi,Hu Yinglin,Yuan Hongdao,Zhong Xing and Tan Yuanchun are the representatives of poetics theory in each period.There is a certain inheritance and development between them.The Shishi Tanshi was finished in the late Ming Dynasty.As a relic of the Ming Dynasty,Zhao Shizhe was influenced by the compromised trend the return of Confucian Poetry in the poems at that time.Therefore Zhao Shizhe called for advocating the poetry of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and attached importance to Poetic style.Meanwhile,he also emphasized individuality,and new poetic ideas,and so on.These claims have a certain degree of flexibility and inclusivity,but also have their own uniqueness.From a dialectical perspective,chapter three distinguishes the value and deficiency of Zhao Shizhe's Shishi Tanshi.In the theoretical controversy between the Retro School and the Jing Ling School,it does not favor any side,and canStrike a balance between the emotion,word,reason and regulations.As a result,he can judge the Retro School and the Jingling School fairly.In the trend of worshiping the Tang Dynasty,he thought that the style of the Song Dynasty was also superior to the poets in the middle Tang Dynasty,and their knowledge could be compared with that of Du Fu.At the same time,he can break the theory that quality determines poetry.And he advocates that the choice of poetry does not depend on the good or evil of people.However,as the poetry of the Ming Dynasty,the Shishi Tanshi thinks highly of the poets and their achievements in the Ming Dynasty,and doesn't form its own systematic and complete system of criticism.In chapter four,the author mainly discusses Shishi Tanshi's influence to the poets at that time and in future as well as the enlightenment on contemporary poetics.Shishi Tanshi's reflection on poetics of the Ming Dynasty and the wonderful judgment,have makd impact on future generations of critics,who continue to be representative of the Qing Dynasty style and verve,thus it has been widespreadly quoted.It can provide the inspiration for the development of modern Chinese poetics in standpoints,methods and Spiritual concepts: the first is to treat the theories of different schools with a fair,dialectical and comprehensive spiritual stand.the other is that we do not reject new ideas,and should pay attention to the renewal of knowledge.The conclusion part summarizes the full text,and illustrates briefly the value of Shishi Tanshi again,in order to draw the attention of the later researchers to this kind of works.
