After the outbreak of the full-scale anti-Japanese war,Japanese troops continued to advance along the Yangtze River to the interior. As Anhui is located in the hinterland of East China and close to Nanjing, the political center,Anhui soon became a major attack target of the Japanese military. The Japanese troops destroyed the vital forces of the Chinese armed forces in Anhui in order to cooperate with ground military offensives, cut off the need for assistance in front of the main battlefield in the Yangtze River region and even the entire rear, and carried out prolonged bombing of the Inner Mongolian Kuomintang and its surrounding areas. These bombings were not In the general sense of war behavior,it is the "undifferentiated bombing" of military facilities and civilian facilities. In the past, academia has relatively weak research on the Japanese bombing of the Anhui bombing. This article intends to revisit this issue on the basis of the material that has been mastered in order to make a breakthrough. The indiscriminate bombing of Japanese troops in Anhui mainly occurred before the outbreak of the Pacific War.According to the frequency and intensity of the bombardment of Japan's aircraft, during the period of the anti-war period, the division of undifferentiated bombers in Anhui Province was divided into bombings in accordance with the ground war;the bombing on the eve of the Pacific War and the Pacific War.Bombing after the outbreak. The Japanese bombing of Anhui caused a series of air raids. These tragedies are the most typical representatives of the Japanese army's undifferentiated bombing.Among them, the most representative are the Japanese bombing tragedies in Lugu,Lugu Lake,Chaohu,Anqing, and Bozhou. The causes of these tragedies have common factors and their own characteristics. The indiscriminate bombing of the Japanese army caused huge human casualties and huge property losses in Anhui.According to the “Anhui Survey” released by the Anhui Provincial Government in 1944,only the Japanese army bombed from August 1937 to December 1943,resulting in 14,412 casualties in the Kuomintang-controlled areas. In the area of industry and commerce, cities and counties such as Penghu,Handan,Hefei,Anqing, and the wartime provincial capital Lihuang were successively occupied. The entire industry and commerce suffered serious damage.Japan's bombing of Anhui caused a double impact. On the one hand, the high-strength bombing at the beginning of the war has caused severe damage to the city, causing huge casualties and property losses,as well as undermining agro-industry business and urban development. On the other hand,Japanese bombings objectively forced the National Government to relocate its capital cities and coastal industries and businesses to the southwest inland areas, creating opportunities for wartime industrial reconstruction and the persistence of resistance. At the same time,in the anti-bombing campaign in the Anhui region, the Anhui people took various measures and persisted in resisting, resulting in the Japanese army not completely occupying Anhui at all,and sharing the air defense pressure of the large rear area to some extent.
