This report explores the strategies that the author adopted in her liaison interpreting practice from the perspective of Relevance Theory. In this theoretical framework, the author tries to define interpreting practice as a kind of verbal communication that can be divided into two ostensive-inferential processes in which interpreters try to seek optimal relevance to the source utterances in a fastest manner and lessen the audience's effort required to process target language discourse. The report elaborates on the author's interpreting practice at the Israeli Advanced Manufacturing Roadshow, describing her preparations and reviewing her performance for the purpose of further improving her management of other interpreting tasks she's going to take on in the future. In addition, the recording of the author's practice was transcribed and studied with an emphasis on the interpreting strategies she adopted.Through case study,it was concluded that four interpreting strategies, namely anticipation, verification, addition and omission, were utilised by the author in the roadshow and proved to be helpful in the ostensive-inferential processes.
