| In recent years, with the development of globalization, the exchange and cooperation among countries in economy, culture and politics are also deepening.Consecutive Interpreting,as an important means of communication in cross-cultural communication, should be improved and it is required to be further studied. The consecutive interpreting of documentaries covering a country’s politics, economy, culture and other fields is not only conducive to expanding interpreters’ knowledge and adapting to the trend of globalization, but also putting what they have learned into practice. The relevance put forward by the theory linguists Sperber and Wilson is the authoritative theory of communication. Moreover,Sperber and Wilson believe that "communication is a process of explicit-inference".In essence, interpretation is also a communicative process, and is a two-way "explicit-inferential" communication process. One is for the "speaker" and "interpreter",and the other is for "the interpreter" and "audience" Therefore, relevance theory plays a guiding role in interpreting, especially in the inference.Based on the relevance theory proposed by French scholars,Sperber and British scholar,Wilson,in the "explicit-inferential" communicative mode, the dissertation mainly discusses how to solve the problem of "the unfamiliar vocabularies are too many ","the sentences the interview said are too lengthy",and "the discourses are played too fast" according to the content of Cognitive Relevance Theory,Communicative Relevance theory and Optimal Relevance theory.Through research and analysis, the author comes to the following conclusions: in the inference stage, due to the cognitive relevance theory, the interpreter should retrieve the encyclopedia, lexical, and logical knowledge in the cognitive context to solve the problem of " unfamiliar vocabularies are too many ";due to the "communicative relevance theory",the interpreter should firstly infer the communicative intention of the speaker, and adopt "ellipsis","substitution" and "manifestation" strategies to solve the problem of "the sentences the interview said are too lengthy";due to the "optimal relevance theory",with the help of notes, the interpreter adopt the strategies of "reduction and translation","combination" and "reorganization",to organize the discourse with the best relevance to the source language,so that the communicative intention of the source language is easily inferred by the listeners,so that the problem of "the discourses are played too fast" is solved. It is expected to provide a reference for other interpreters’ documentary interpreting. |
