The ritual view of communication has the function of gathering,integration,reinforcing the value and forming the identification.This essay is mainly about the religious role recognition and identity of rural Christians in Didou Town Sihui City Guangdong Province based on the theory of the ritual view of communication and imagined communities.Through the research,the author finds that the main reasons for the change of religion transmission in the town are the monotony and poverty of rural cultural life.Folk beliefs and clan inheritance and the country's religious policies.In the guide of the ritual view of communication,the rural Christians recognize their religious role and identity through the rural religion communication model.Participating in the rituals,the rural Christians share the same cultural background to together and recognize their identity.With the synchronic and diachronic symbols,the rural Christians form the communities through image by reading language and event.However,the privacy of the religious communication,the block to religious communication and purposely ritual participation impede the identity.Finally,the author mentions three ways: to inherit the traditional culture,to develop the Chinese Christianity and to guide the Christianity to solve this problem.
