Methodicalness is an important element of a complete calligraphy work,which can create the first impression for people when they appreciate a calligraphy work.It is the sum of the elements in a calligraphy work.In this paper,methodicalness in calligraphy is the main line and virtual and real as the core argument is explained.Virtual and real is important content of Chinese and one of important artistic techniques of expression in calligraphy,which reflects space of characters,rows and the overall painting in calligraphy works.The paper shows that different ways of the virtual and real applied to calligraphy can make different styles through analysis of presentation and styles of the virtual and real in methodicalness.The paper comprehends characteristics and methodicalness application of virtual and real by analyzing on virtual and real showing pencraft,structure and methodicalness in ancient classical works to apply to writing calligraphy in practice with conclusive rules of virtual and real in methodicalness.Meanwhile,the paper holds the idea that learning not to obey ancients' times spirit and not to be mixed with abuse during following times in order to understand,carry on and advocate traditional calligraphy conferring its new energy and development.
