The continuous development of technology makes human informationdissemination gradually enter the digital age.The new media following it is the newmedia interactive art.The new media interactive art is a product of the times,with amore intense characteristic of mechanization,which required the addition ofuser-friendly content in the process of interaction to transform its characteristic ofmechanization into an artwork with humanity.Because only the works close topeople can attract people's attention and goodwill and meet people's expectations,which is an important guarantee to promote the constant development of the newmedia interactive art.By analyzing the case,in the practice and theory,this paper studies all aspectsof the new media interactive art.First,it clarifies the concept of new mediainteractive art and analyzes it characteristics under the background ofmodernization,including interactivity,virtuality,immersion,sustainability andconvertibility.Secondly,through organizing domestic and international development processof empathy design and existing research results,on the basis of it,this paperanalyzes its characteristics and organizes the basis of its formation and the role ofconstituent elements.In the deep analysis of emotional design,it studies theinstinctive level design and behavioral level design provided for audiences,andgradually begins to enter the reflection level design.In reflection level design,it cansuppress or stimulate the instinctive level design and behavioral level design byobtaining the audiences' reaction,achieve the focus of research on empathy design,and sum up that the empathy design is characterized by humanity,fusion andaesthetics.Finally,it conducts a specific study on empathy design in new media interactiveart and discusses the correlation of user experience and empathy design.The psychological mechanisms when users generating empathy are emotional infection,reflective emotion and reactive emotion.These three psychological mechanisms areclosely tied and are have subtle differences.By studying users' empathy experience,it achieve the empathy design characteristics of fusion of object and subject,andaesthetic intersubjectivity in new media interactive art.According to itscharacteristics,this paper also makes relevant explanation of empathy designreflected in new media interactive art.What people in modern society are pursuing is the spiritual world behind thedesigned works' physical values such as its functionality and usability.The aestheticof artworks begins to transform from an aesthetic way of rational logical thinking toan aesthetic method of irrational manner,imagination and emotional projection.This paper aims to conduct in-depth study on empathy design in new mediainteractive art.Based on people,it creates designed work from the standpoint of theaudience,using the methods and features of empathy to achieve cultural andtechnical match in the new media interactive art,and analyzes and explains theauthor's own works.
