In the 21st century,China expands opening up in economic,cultural and other fields.With the coming opportunities,more and more Chinese companies pay attention to the edition and translation of company publicity materials for better development in international market.As an application oriented text,enterprise publicity materials are important part for companies to build good corporate images and open up the international market,finally,improve economic efficiency.Based on these characteristics,translators should take company s stand to think about the function and purpose of company publicity materials and choose feasible translation methods.This report takes practical examples from the author s translation work in CITIC Dicastal.At first,the report has a brief analysis of Chinese enterprise publicity materials in lexical level,syntactic level and cultural level.On the basis of skopos theory,this report analyzes the translation examples from practical work and comes to an conclusion that translators should follow the skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule,and use literal translation,free translation,interpretative translation,omission and other methods to make target readers understand the source text in content and connotation.
