Gayatri Spivak has always been concerned with the Other in her literary criticism. The purpose of this article is to examine how Spivak demonstrated his specific direction through literary criticism, and how she uses literary criticism to explore ways to solve problems of the Other. This paper also aims to pay attention to the practical requirements of Spivak from the perspective of intellectuals. The introduction generally sorts out the research status of Spivak and the Other. The first chapter firstly shows the theoretical basis of Spivak's study in the Other, and then tries to answer the question of who the Other is.Through the three progressive angles and theoretical changes of the Other in terms of race, sex and class,it is pointed out that the Other is anti-essentialism and alterity. The second chapter will discuss how to make the Other speak.Through a review of Spivak's practice,it is proposed that literary aesthetic education can help the Other to vocalize.Globalization suppresses the Other's heterogeneity more evasively, which causes the Other to fall into a double bind. The solution lies in the “play”.Literary education needs to be introduced from epistemology to sociology and from object to subject. Both the top and the bottom of education are targeted at the same time. The third chapter will discuss how to convey the voice of the Other.Intellectuals must convey the voice of others through translation. The language has a three-tiered structure of logic, rhetoric and silence. The essence of translation is the reconstruction of meaning. The use of rhetoric makes it possible for violence against the Other through silence. This requires the translator to carry out the translation in love and yield to the text.Spivak points the future of translation to emphasis the status of the translator and language of the Other.Through the discussion of the Other,Spivak points out the mission of humanities and intellectuals under globalization.
