Objective: to explore the influence of color metaphor on color cognition from the perspective of red and white color metaphor in Chinese traditional culture.Research tools: Epidater2.0,spss21 software to collect and analyze data. Methods: using the experimental paradigm of Robinson et al.,the paper chose grey as the background color, red and white presented metaphorical words to explore the metaphorical effect of the metaphor of red and white color. On the basis of experiment one,the position of metaphorical words(up and down two levels)was added to explore the influence of color metaphor on image schema. The results show that there is a significant interaction between the speech and the color of the metaphorical words. The red metaphor is shorter than when it is white, and the white metaphor is shorter when it is white than when it is red.The experimental results show that there is a significant interaction between the metaphorical words presented in red and white color and the presentation in the upper and lower positions. When the metaphorical word is red,it appears shorter than the response below the screen, and when the metaphor is white,it appears shorter than the response above the screen. Conclusion :(1)the red and white color metaphors in Chinese traditional red and white wedding have a metaphorical and consistent effect;(2)the red and white metaphors in traditional Chinese red and white events have an effect on the image schema of the color cognition of red and white.
