The new HSK is the most important teaching content in Chinese international education.We consider that comparing with the former levels,level 6 is not much harder to learn on grammar,while most of the patterns of sentences and phrases have been taught to students in former levels.Despite of this,the new words in level 6 is much more difficult on both quantities and qualities.Chinese learners are supposed to grasp 5000 words,some of them are hard to discriminate.So this paper is aiming to study the confusing words and their discrimination in the new HSK6.Chapter 1 is the introduction of the paper,it explained the meaning and the reason for choosing this subject as the main theory of the paper.The introduction summarizes the current situation of Chinese international education,and focused on the innovation of this research from the paper.There are four parts to analysis the current situation of the Chinese international education.:(1)The demarcation of the synonym in Chinese international education;(2)Theresearch on learning the synonym of Chinese learners;(3)The differentiate and analysis of the synonym in Chinese international education;(4)The research on teaching synonym.The innovation from the research perspective of the paper are mainly subject analysis,method analysis and perspective analysis.These innovated perspectives were tend to be theoretically.A theoretical system was tried to be formed based on that,hence they can explain more than just listed the analysis on confusing words.Chapter 2 discussed the subject of vocabulary analysis in Chinese International education,also known as define and confirm of the confusing words.This chapter first studied the similarities and differences on lexical research and Chinese International vocabulary research.And the differences were mainly discussed in four aspects:(1)Not limited by the same word formation;(2)Not limited by the same grammar level;(3)Not limited by their meaning whether they are same or similar;(4)They often needed to use function word to analysis.From the aspects above,to explain the Chinese International vocabulary needed to use the term “confusing word”.We consider “confusing word” is a collection which gathered by confusing cases with a view to interlanguage and the comprehension and using of target language.This term is different from lexical research on perspective and generalize criteria,it is able to provide a stereo perspective of Chinese international education which contains character,phonology,vocabulary and grammar.We studied the 5000 words from HSK 6 vocabulary outline,investigate each of them in interlanguage database and generalized 322 groups of confusing words.Here in the paper we list every group,including examples.Chapter 3 refers to the structure of discrimination frame.According to the main reasons of confusing phenomena,we discussed some issues:(1)The targeted and economy principle of discrimination;(2)The system of confusing words;(3)The native language backgrounds of learners;(4)Intermediate language.After the consideration of these five issues,we came up with a fully discrimination frame including character,phonology,semantic,and grammar.And in each level we set up some distinguish items.Chapter 4 discussed the discrimination of confusing words.In chapter 2 we generalized the confusing words in HSK 6,in chapter 3 we build a discrimination frame,then in this chapter we intended to discuss how to choose discriminating means to analyse different kinds of confusing words.We listed five kinds,in the perspective of different features of confusing words:(1)Words which have similar meanings;(2)Words which have similar pattern;(3)Words which have similar sounds;(4)Translation equivalents;(5)Homographs from intermediate language and native language transfer.Chapter 5 mentions some other issues such as the single-track and bothway confusions.Issues like this might not belongs to the main part of the paper,but we still need to refer them,in order to inspire some new ideas of the research in the future.
