The translation of children’s literature has been concerned by translators,including the analysis of translated works of children’s literature and researches that analyze the translation process and translation skills of children’s literature.The translator chooses the contents from Chapter One to Chapter Six of the children’s literature The Boy Who Knew Everything(2015)as the source text.Under the guidance of Jauss’ reception theory,the translator analyzes and discusses the difficulties in translation at lexical level,sentence level and discourse level with numerous examples and explores corresponding translation skills.By translating this work,the translator hopes young Chinese readers at this age can have an opportunity to read this novel and know about foreign culture in this work through this translation and hopes to make some contribution to the translation of children’s literature through analyzing the problems and the translation skills during this translation practice.
