| Cross-border e-commerce has been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years.In making the commodities ?go global?,e-commerce platforms like shopping websites are playing a significant role as a bridge of communication,hence putting the translation of product profiles thereof in the spotlight.This report,on the basis of the translation text of Amazon product profiles during my internship from November,2016 to February,2017 in Shanghai Linguitronics Co.,Ltd.,is to investigate the translation solutions towards the problems encountered in the translation process.With the application of Nord‘s text analysis model,the article first analyses the functions of product profiles at Amazon and then conducts text analysis by taking intratextual and extratextual factors into consideration.By induction and summarization,translation problems are identified and feasible translation solutions are proposed accordingly.It is hoped that this report will provide reference for translating texts in the same field,thus improving the quality and efficiency of translation tasks. |
