In recent years,as the country's emphasis on cultural and educational undertakings has increased,a series of culturally-related policies have been introduced one after another,providing guidance from the national level to the cause of cultural education.The departments and units at all levels in the country attach great importance to it.Various regions have continuously introduced education promotion activities of various forms and rich content in response to national policies.Cultural heritage refers to the tangible and intangible wealth created by humans or human activities in human history.Therefore,cultural heritage is divided into tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage.In our country,it is often referred to as material cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage.As an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture,cultural heritage is a key link in cultural education.With the deepening of related cultural activities,although some achievements have been made in education promotion,some problems still appear inevitably.The outstanding performance of cultural education in local education promotion is not high enough and the effect is not strong.Therefore,author chose her hometown,Dunhuang,as an important site for this study.The author select the Mogao Grottoes,the most representative cultural heritage site in Dunhuang City,as the research object,and consult relevant national policies and regulations in recent years.According to the records of Li Kerang's Reconstructing the Mogao Grottoes Monument in the Tang Dynasty,the Mogao Grottoes were excavated in 366 AD by the former Qin Dynasty and were the earliest,longest,largest,and most abundant grottoes.In 1987,it was included in the world's cultural heritage and has a trinity of architecture,sculpture,and mural art.Sorted out the relationship between cultural heritage and education promotion,which reflected the purpose of this study.Dunhuang is one of the first famous historical and cultural cities located in the northwest bordering of the country.It has a world-famous cultural heritage Mogao Grottoes.The Dunhuang Academy is a professional institution for the protection,research,and promotion of Mogao Grottoes.It make a good contribution to promotion of Dunhuang Grottoes arts both at home and abroad.Since 2005,it has carried out some publicity and promotion work for local citizens.After the author went to the Dunhuang City Bureau of Education to learn about the local education,I designed the “The questionnaire on Local Education Promotion of Cultural Heritage in Dunhuang”.During the study period,more than 400 students have answered questionnaires and three teachers in primary,middle and high schools have been interviewed.I generally grasped the status quo of the promotion of cultural heritage education in Dunhuang City,and concluded four major problems :students lack interests and knowledge about cultural heritage in Dunhuang,has less chance to participate in related activities,teachers lack related knowledge of cultural heritage education.And then analysis the cause of these problems are limitations of the Mogao Grottoes visits pattern and traditional exam education,the lack of relevant education promotion methods and effective teaching Education evaluation system.Based on these factors,summed up experience and put forward education promotion strategies suitable for the development of Dunhuang City.The strategy includes two aspect,the principles of promotion,andselect education resources that meet the needs of students,including the background knowledge of the Mogao Grottoes,the stories of murals,the related intangible cultural heritage,and the history of the Dunhuang Academy.Based on “The Guidelines for improving Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture education” promulgated by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China,advance seven strategy(1)Regard Cultural Heritage education as a strategic task.(2)Strengthening cooperation with related units.(3)Improving education evaluation and supervision system.(4)Bring education program into daily curriculum,revise teaching materials.(5)Improve teachers' level.(6)Establish online classrooms,open up digital resources.(7)Develop “welcoming” and “sending” models.And then according to the author's learning and work experience design three separate activities for primary,middle and high school students,expected to be put into practice in the future,so that those experience can provide some references for the future promotion of cultural heritage education in Dunhuang City.The study is divided into three major parts.The first part is an introduction,which includes the domestic research background rely mainly on the favorable conditions for the cultural heritage promotion of Mogao Grottoes in the past decade;expounding the research significance from the perspectives of the world,the country,education,and individuals;The status quo in France,Italy,China,etc.is researched;research ideas on the cultural heritage of Mogao Grottoes in local education are proposed;combined with literature research methods,questionnaires,interviews,interdisciplinary research methods and other research methods.The second part is the main text,divided into three chapters.The first chapter is related concepts and theoretical basis,mainly discusses the relationship between cultural heritage and education promotion;the second chapter is to understand the promotion of cultural heritage education in Dunhuang City through visits and surveys;the third chapter puts forward strategies for the promotion of cultural heritage education.The third part is the summary and prospect of this study.
