Sandhi,as a part of the Chinese phonetics,it is an essential factor which influences accuracy and fluency of pronunciation.Meanwhile,it's also one of the teaching difficulties in international Chinese pronunciation teaching.Sandhi is rarely practically researched in the international education of Chinese.The number of Indonesian students who are learning Chinese is increasing rapidly due to the development of China in the recent years.Therefore,the thesis studies the acquisition in Mandarin sandhi of the Indonesian students,by means of doing a survey.Through investigation and analysis to conclude different types of error,to explore and discover the teaching strategies.Another purpose of this study is to provide enlightenment and thoughts for readers about how to teach the Indonesian students who are learning Chinese sandhi in the primary stage.The outline is made up of four parts.The first part is the introduction which mainly introduces some previous researches and the reasons why researcher select this topic.From existing research,the number of studies which focus on tutorial of Mandarin sandhi facing to the foreign students is moderately small,mainly involved with Korea,Thailand,Europe and America.In addition,there is rare research focusing on the tutorial which faces to the Indonesia.The Second part claimed the methodology and results of survey,which include the detailed methods and analysis of outcome.Indonesian students had a certain issue of pronunciation such as modified tone,neutral tone and retroflex final through the analysis of the outcome.The third part aims to explore the cause which lead an error of pronunciation can be classified in to internal factors and external factors.Internal factors include interference of Indonesian and native language dialect,different language rules of pronunciation and the reasons of students themselves.External factors include the problems of textbook,teachers,the methods of teaching and the influence of the language environment.The fourth part conclude some teaching strategies based on the reasons of errors.The teaching strategies are as follows.The first one is to take measures to increase the learners' consciousness of sandhi.The second one is to overcome the interference of language.The third one is to avoid generalize language rules.The fourth one is to improve the compilation of teaching materials.The fifth one is to improve the quality of teachers.The sixth one is to use various teaching methods.The seventh one is to create a diverse language environment.
