Chinese aesthetic education originated after the foundation of the Republic of China.In this short period,a large number of oil painters emerged and the academic atmosphere of the art and educational circles was rich.After the first batch of overseas artists who introduced the aesthetic education system in Japan and the West into the country returned to the motherland,many art schools began to transform from the traditional apprenticeship to the western education style under the stimulation of this kind of exotic product and new culture.In 1919,the first "female ban" was abolished by universities.Women were firstly allowed to entered the formal art academy to study oil painting as college students.Some of them had a profound influence on the later oil painting development and education.These female students had various social status,but as the first generation of Chinese oil painting female students,they shared one same identity: the pioneers and experimenters in the area of new oil painting teaching.Under the suppression of feudal customs and "male power",women are in the marginalization of society for a long time,and the emergence of female students means the awakening of feminine consciousness.This topic attempts to take the first generation of Chinese female students in oil painting as the research object,and more deeply explore their social survival background,educational activities and cultural identities from the perspective of feminism.This topic will discuss the "women's oil painting education in the Republic of China" in four chapters.In the first part,it expounds the value and meaning of this study and the situation of this kind of research at home and abroad.The second part makes an analysis of the social environment in the Republic of China,and takes the flourishing oil painting education at home and female movement as the main motive force for the development of women's education with subsidiary at abroad.The third part is the most important research point and the innovation of this subject,in which the author classified and integrated the basic facts of women's oil painting education in the Republic of China and the investigation results of teaching implementation.The fourth part is the author's promotion of the topic,including the deep excavation of the characteristics of women's cultural identity and the inevitability and necessity for the awakening of feminism.And there's a summary of this subject at the end of this paper.This topic mainly takes the historical development as the main thread,progressively studies the women's oil painting education in the Republic of China,analyzes the relationship between feminism and the women's oil painting education,and makes an objective historical evaluation on the women's oil painting education in the Republic of China.As for the scope of the study,the author strictly controls the period in 1919~1937 as target,obtains detailed analysis through narrowing the observation point of this education phenomenon in the Republic of China.Based on historical literature,combining the historical background factors and women's own factors,this topic combs the germination,development and reform of the early origin of the women oil painting education in the Republic of China,and discusses the general situation of the implementation of the women's oil painting education in the Republic of China and the role played by women in the education,in order to provide reference and lesson for the improvement of current oil painting teaching through a new perspective.
