This paper compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai plosive and affricate through acoustics experiments. From the three aspects of voiced onset time(VOT),occlusion duration,VOT and syllable ratio,we analyze the personality characteristics of plosive and affricate between Chinese and Thai, and their acoustic characteristics were investigated and compared. The main content of this article includes four parts. The first part is "Preface",which includes the basis for the selection of topics, the definition and characteristics of plosive and affricate, and the related review of previous research results. It also introduces the content, methods and significance of this study. The second part is the acoustics experiment part.First introduced the specific design of this experiment. Then, from the experimental analysis of the plosive and affricate respectively, the specific conditions of the voiced start time(VOT),the occlusion duration,VOT and syllable ratio.Second introducing detailed description and contrastive analysis of the phonetic features of plosive and affricate in Chinese and Thai Languages. Then, giving some suggestion to Thai students about their errors in Chinese plosive and affricate. The third part is based on the previous research results of the contrast tests, and to predict the difficulties about Thai students in learning Chinese plosive and affricate.Through the phonetic comparison experiment,it is known that the difficulties for Thai students to acquire the Chinese plosive and affricate is mainly concentrated in the middle tongue plosive, and the difficulties in Chinese affricate is more, including the tongue tone, anterior and posterior. Then, teaching suggestions are given from three aspects: teaching sequence, tongue affricate and tongue tip and fricative. The fourth part is the overall summary of the full text.
