Simone de Beauvoir, the founders of the feminist movement, made a significant contribution to the women's liberation movement in Europe in the middle of the 20th century. Her idea that "only economic independence can free women from the oppressed state" has not left the history stage until today. In The Second Sex,Beauvoir combined the feminist theory with the existentialist philosophy to examine the formation of a woman's situation detailedly, revealing the reasons for the woman's situation and suggesting that Judgment-There is no eternal femininity.Beauvoir concluded that if a woman wants to emerge from her oppressed situation, she must transcend her “innerness” and establish an equal and harmonious relationship with men. This article will be based on Beauvoir's "The Second Sex",divided into five parts to explore Beauvoir's feminist philosophy. The first part briefly introduces the growth process of Beauvoir and the background of the publication of The Second Sex.The second part focuses on analyzing the influence of Sartre's existential philosophy on Beauvoir's feminist philosophy. The third part explores the status of "other" formed by a woman in the "situation" from the perspective of women's groups and women, and analyzes the philosophical and social causes of the inferior status of women. The fifth section discusses how women face their own situations and how to achieve true gender equality under new historical circumstances. This will provide inspiration and consideration for the issue of women's rights in China and even in the world, and promote social fairness and harmony.
